Alastair McClymont Ph.D., P.Geo., has over 15 years of experience in the application of diverse near-surface geophysical techniques to geotechnical assessments, hydrogeological studies, contaminated site remediation and other projects. His experience includes the successful design and execution of geophysical investigations for geotechnical site characterization, geohazard assessments, contaminated site remediation, and geophysical mapping of groundwater resources. In his role as a Senior Geophysicist at BGC Engineering in Calgary, Alastair provides technical solutions to projects requiring non-invasive investigation of the subsurface, saving costs to clients while minimizing environmental impacts. He has extensive experience in Canada and the United States and has worked on a number of international projects in the Americas, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Alastair has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications on the use of geophysics in a broad range of topics including tectonics, hydrogeology, and archaeology.
