Mike Davies, M.Sc., P.Geo. (BC, AB, NU/NT) has worked in the mining, transportation, and pipeline industries, with a recent focus on tailings and water dams.  His work has included characterization of foundation conditions for design, identification and characterization of geologic hazards to support geohazard management systems, and the application of ground improvement techniques to dam construction projects. Mike has also been the project manager for several large dam design and construction projects.  He has developed strong leadership and management skills through these projects and through previous roles as BGC’s Safety Manager and the Edmonton Office Manager.  He is now BGC’s Resource Management Lead, focused on building strong project teams through recruiting and internal staffing efforts.
