Max Layton, B.Sc., P.Geo. (AB) has extensive experience processing and interpreting a wide variety of near-surface geophysical techniques including electrical resistivity tomography (ERT), refraction seismic (SRT), multi-channel analysis of surface waves (MASW), electromagnetic techniques, ground penetrating radar (GPR), and magnetic methods. He has developed numerous Python scripts to improve the efficiency and quality of geophysical data processing, and 3D data visualization. He has worked on numerous projects across western Canada, the United States, Kenya, Uganda, Colombia, Zambia, and the Philippines. He has experience working on pipeline HDD crossings, bedrock and geohazard mapping, spill responses, soil and groundwater contaminant mapping, aquifer characterization, archaeology, dam fill characterization, and muskeg mapping.
