Matthew Buchanan, B.Sc., GIS AdvDip, GISP, has been with BGC since 2006. His primary specialization is the ArcGIS suite of software doing analysis, mapping, scripting, database design, data organization, web mapping and more. He also has extensive experience with Google Earth, Global Mapper and 3D mine software packages Surpac and GEM4D. Currently focused on automating GIS tasks in Python and in Web Mapping technologies. He is the primary GIS team member responsible for the NDMP-funded risk prioritization projects for the Thompson River Watershed, the Regional District of Central Kootenay, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District and others.
