Marc Adams, M.Sc., P.Eng. (AB, NS), has worked in the engineering industry since 1985; initially as an engineering technologist, and since 1992, as a civil engineer. Marc has focused on geo-environmental projects involving remediation or protection of soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapour, and indoor air, and has extensive experience in both design and construction of such projects. Currently, his focus is on applying this expertise and experience to closure planning or closure execution for mine sites, industrial facilities and landfills, including the use of both earthworks and active engineered controls. In addition, he frequently applies his expertise to support tailings management, water management and construction for operating mine facilities. His project work has spanned continental, highland, polar, and tropical climatic settings in Canada, the United States and internationally. These projects sometimes extend beyond the technical aspects and have required Marc to lead the successful engagement of both public and private stakeholders.
