Senior Civil Engineer
Leonardo Moreno, P.Eng. (SK, AB, BC), Ing. Civil, is a Senior Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience. He has diverse background in applying the principles of geotechnical engineering to the design and construction of civil engineering projects in Canada and internationally in the mining, pipelines and transportation industries. His extensive experience encompasses project management, geotechnical site investigations, including geotechnical and geological interpretation of subsurface, shallow foundation design and field assessments, construction supervision, and construction quality control/assurance (QA/QC) for large earthworks such as embankment dams for tailings storage facilities. He’s also a passionate contributor to technical translation reviews. Leonardo has authored technical papers on test fills for dam fill material evaluations and is currently a committee member of the Canadian Dam Association (CDA). He is a registered professional engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC), Alberta (APEGA), Saskatchewan (APEGS), Argentina (CIJ), Bolivia (SIB). Mr. Moreno is responsible for managing BGC’s Dominican Republic Operations.
