Karen SepĂșlveda, Mg.Amb., is a Senior Natural Resources Engineer, Master of Environment, with 17 years of professional experience. She has worked both in the Chilean government and in consulting in the preparation, review, and supervision of environmental baseline and impact assessment reports, in compliance with the law. She has had a further understanding of environmental law and requirements to get environmental permitting for mining projects and hydraulic infrastructure from prefeasibility to operation. She has had formal training in several aspects, including environmental impact assessment, water resources management, and climate change. Her work now focuses on glacial and periglacial baselines, evaluation of natural and anthropogenic impacts on the glacial and periglacial environment, and design of environmental action plans to address these impacts.
