Julio Portocarrero, M.Eng., P.Eng. (BC, ON), has 15 years of professional experience in environmental, water resources, hydrological and hydraulic consulting for mining projects and operations across North America, South America, and Europe. He has been involved in multidisciplinary and international teams primarily for mining projects. Technical specialties include the development of surface water management plans, design of hydraulic structures, development of baseline climate and hydrology studies including climate change, hydrological and hydraulic modeling, development of water balance models and dam breach assessments.
