Erin Ernst, M.Sc., P.Geo. (BC, AB, ON) has over ten years of experience as a near surface geophysics consultant. She enjoys working on a wide variety of different types of projects while taking on many different roles in the project team, from site supervisor to technical lead and project manager. Some of the projects she has worked on include a groundwater exploration project in northern Kenya, marine seismic and ERT data acquisition along multiple rivers in western Canada and the Pacific Ocean to support pipeline crossing designs, mapping shallow channel aquifers and faults to inform mine design, and mapping impacted groundwater at industrial sites. Erin likes to be involved in all parts of a project from survey design, and data acquisition, through to processing and reporting. As a project manager, she has experience managing projects both for geophysics and engineering applications, including managing projects for large mining and oil and gas clients. Since 2020 Erin has also been helping to lead the geophysics team at BGC.
