Eric Poeck

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Eric Poeck, Ph.D., P.E. (CO, NV) is a mining engineer specialized in rock mechanics. He provides an expertise in numerical modeling and has constructed numerous FLAC3D simulations for open pit and underground projects.  He enjoys solving problems through back analysis, applying first principles and sound judgement, and working with operators to generate practical engineering designs.  Eric also enjoys travel for the purpose of coordinating field programs, setting up and monitoring instrumentation, and meeting clients on site.  He has conducted engineering studies, engaged with site personnel, and had boots on the ground at the Kennecott underground copper development in Utah, the Stillwater platinum mine in Montana, the Bagdad open pit copper mine in Arizona, the Hermosa underground lead-zinc-silver project in Arizona, and the Goderich underground salt mine in Ontario among many others.
