Elisa Scordo

Senior Hydrologist, Surface Water Team Lead

Vancouver

Elisa Scordo, M.Sc., P.Geo. (BC, AB, SK), P.Ag. (AB), joined BGC in 2008 after finishing a graduate degree in geography at UBC. Elisa’s focus is on the hydrological impacts of flooding on communities and linear infrastructure, as part of an integrated geohazard management program that spans North and South America. She leads BGC’s Surface Water discipline team, a diverse group of hydrotechnical engineers and geoscientists undertaking challenging and innovative projects across the pipeline, mining, community, and energy sectors. In this role, Elisa has stewarded the development of the team’s strategic direction to deliver high-quality water resources solutions. Elisa has served as technical lead on multiple watershed-scale flood hazard risk prioritization studies across Western Canada. These studies include detailed floodplain mapping for several major rivers to support local communities in reducing their risk of extreme flooding in the context of a changing climate.
