Cambio is a powerful web and mobile application developed by BGC in-house that allows you to store, organize, and manage geospatial information for applications ranging from geohazards affecting pipelines to tailings dam stability monitoring.

Cambio works in concert with BGC’s River Network Tools and Precipitation Network Tools to alert your organization of potential high-risk events impacting your assets.

Reduce the weight of your field kit by taking a compact tablet and all your data with you instead of a thick binder. Mobile applications work in offline mode to enable field data collection, GPS photo tagging, and voice-to-text notetaking. Inspections are synchronized when back within cell or Wi-Fi coverage, enabling office staff to review synced data from field inspectors.

Our monitoring and alerting systems pull in real-time data from public sources such as NRCAN, USGS, and NOAA, as well as private data sources from our clients. We apply various algorithms to single point or raster data to provide an up-to-date understanding of what is happening at your asset locations in near real-time.

Pairing this data with the thresholds set by Cambio’s algorithms that calculate the hazard occurrence, vulnerability and risk for your asset, our real-time monitoring systems will send you actionable alerts for streamflow, seismicity, precipitation, snowpack, wave height, and geotechnical instrumentation.

BGC applications run on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform, providing our apps the security, reliability, and availability that you would expect from real-time monitoring applications. We take advantage of Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory (AD), so if you can get the benefits of single sign-on (SSO).
