The Role

BGC is looking for a Junior Accounting Clerk to work with our team in the Golden, CO Office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, multinational organization with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and reconciling accounts payables and receivables
  • Preparing and entering monthly journal entries, cash receipts, AR and AP to meet accounting deadlines
  • Coding and entering vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable module of BST 10
  • Reviewing and posting employee expense claims
  • Responding to various inquires from vendors and staff
  • Reconciling and resolving accounts payable discrepancies
  • Compiling invoice disbursement back-up
  • Bank and Credit card reconciliations
  • Completing ACH payments and cheque runs
  • Assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
  • Assisting with ad-hoc year-end audit requirements and prepare annual audit working papers and support documents as needed

Requirements

  • Post Secondary education in Accounting
  • 1+ years experience in Accounts Payable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexible in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional and tactful manner
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Experience with Concur is an asset
  • Experience in a multinational work environment is an asset
