zones g\u00e9ographiques et sont confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des menaces d&#8217;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 dues \u00e0 des risques g\u00e9ologiques naturels le long de leur parcours. Les inondations, les tremblements de terre et les glissements de terrain peuvent entra\u00eener la rupture des pipelines, causant des dommages environnementaux et des pertes \u00e9conomiques, et constituant un risque pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du public. Le travail de BGC dans le domaine des pipelines s&#8217;est concentr\u00e9 sur le soutien aux op\u00e9rateurs en mati\u00e8re de gestion des risques g\u00e9ologiques tout au long du cycle de vie de l&#8217;exploitation des pipelines, depuis le trac\u00e9 et la conception jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 l&#8217;exploitation et l&#8217;abandon. BGC soutient actuellement la gestion des g\u00e9orisques sur 440 000 km de pipelines dans le monde entier et s&#8217;associe aux exploitants de pipelines pour r\u00e9duire activement les taux de d\u00e9faillance par rapport aux statistiques moyennes de l&#8217;industrie.  <\/p>\n<p>Le changement climatique a une incidence sur la fr\u00e9quence, l&#8217;intensit\u00e9, la dur\u00e9e et le calendrier des g\u00e9orisques. L&#8217;\u00e9valuation des g\u00e9orisques dans un environnement changeant est essentielle pour r\u00e9duire les taux de d\u00e9faillance des pipelines \u00e0 long terme. L&#8217;augmentation des pr\u00e9cipitations et des temp\u00e9ratures due au changement climatique modifie l&#8217;exposition des pipelines aux inondations, aux s\u00e9cheresses et aux incendies de for\u00eat. L&#8217;int\u00e9gration du changement climatique dans les travaux sur les pipelines permet de mieux comprendre comment les g\u00e9orisques devraient \u00e9voluer dans l&#8217;espace et dans le temps \u00e0 l&#8217;avenir. En raison de l&#8217;\u00e9volution du climat, certains pipelines deviendront plus sensibles aux g\u00e9orisques dans certaines zones et moins dans d&#8217;autres. En incorporant des courbes de fr\u00e9quence et de magnitude ajust\u00e9es au climat pour les pr\u00e9cipitations et les inondations, BGC pr\u00e9pare mieux ses clients et leurs pipelines \u00e0 ces changements tout au long de leur dur\u00e9e de vie. La magnitude de l&#8217;inondation utilis\u00e9e pour dimensionner la profondeur de la canalisation aux croisements des cours d&#8217;eau \u00e9voluera avec le temps ; dans certaines zones, elle diminuera au cours de la dur\u00e9e de vie utile et augmentera dans d&#8217;autres. BGC utilise les derni\u00e8res donn\u00e9es scientifiques sur le changement climatique pour d\u00e9terminer la crue de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux points de franchissement des cours d&#8217;eau, sans pour autant faire preuve d&#8217;un conservatisme excessif dans la mod\u00e9lisation.  <\/p>\n<p>Pendant la p\u00e9riode op\u00e9rationnelle, l&#8217;int\u00e9gration du changement climatique dans les m\u00e9thodes d&#8217;\u00e9valuation des g\u00e9orisques permet d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer la planification et la budg\u00e9tisation annuelles de la gestion de l&#8217;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 et des efforts d&#8217;att\u00e9nuation des g\u00e9orisques. La r\u00e9silience au changement climatique est soutenue par la plateforme de gestion des g\u00e9orisques de BGC, Cambio\u2122. Cambio permet d&#8217;\u00e9valuer, de g\u00e9rer et d&#8217;att\u00e9nuer les risques g\u00e9ologiques qui menacent les pipelines. Cambio permet de mettre \u00e0 jour les \u00e9valuations des risques au fil du temps en tenant compte de l&#8217;\u00e9volution des conditions du site gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des inspections du sol et \u00e0 des enqu\u00eates d\u00e9taill\u00e9es.  <\/p>\n<p>Les modules de surveillance en temps r\u00e9el de Cambio fournissent \u00e9galement aux exploitants de pipelines des notifications actualis\u00e9es sur les pr\u00e9cipitations et les inondations susceptibles d&#8217;avoir un impact sur leurs pipelines. Il est important de comprendre la relation entre les \u00e9v\u00e9nements hydroclimatiques extr\u00eames et les processus g\u00e9omorphologiques pour \u00e9laborer des programmes de surveillance visant \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les pipelines. La d\u00e9termination de seuils appropri\u00e9s pour les programmes de surveillance des g\u00e9orisques est un d\u00e9fi car la relation entre des processus tels que le d\u00e9bit, l&#8217;affouillement et les pr\u00e9cipitations n&#8217;est souvent pas claire. BGC a analys\u00e9 les changements historiques observ\u00e9s \u00e0 environ 100 000 passages de cours d&#8217;eau dans le cadre de son programme d&#8217;inspection hydrotechnique et a \u00e9tabli un lien entre ces changements et les pr\u00e9cipitations observ\u00e9es. Les changements dans la profondeur de couverture (DoC) du pipeline, en particulier les diminutions sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 0,3 m (c&#8217;est-\u00e0-dire &#8220;significatives&#8221;), ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9s comme une mesure cl\u00e9 pour caract\u00e9riser les changements dans les conditions du site. L&#8217;\u00e9tablissement d&#8217;une relation entre des param\u00e8tres tels que la profondeur de la couverture et les \u00e9v\u00e9nements hydroclimatiques extr\u00eames est l&#8217;un des moyens explor\u00e9s par BGC pour affiner le programme de surveillance en informant les seuils sp\u00e9cifiques au site qui pourraient s&#8217;ajuster au fil du temps en raison du changement climatique.
